PILOT GROUP – SPRING 2022
Thanks for taking the next step and filling out the form. As promised, here is a recap of the details that I shared in the video.
CONFIDENTIAL: Please keep the video and this follow-up information confidential
between me and you. Thank you!
Important Dates to Remember:
- INTEREST DEADLINE: By MONDAY, MARCH 21 to let me know if you want to be a part of the pilot group.
- GROUP SELECTION DEADLINE: I’ll send an email by THURSDAY, MARCH 24 letting you know who will be in the Pilot Group.
1. STUDY TOPIC
While I can’t share the title yet, I can share the topic that I’m writing about. And it’s a good one! Ready for this ——–> This spring Bible study topic is tied to the Lenten season and Easter. So, if you didn’t get around to picking a Bible study for Lent, here’s your opportunity!
However, if you don’t observe Lent or if you don’t actually care about Lenten studies, no worries. What I can say is that this Bible study combines Jesus and a popular book of the Bible that you’ll live learning about in a fresh new way!
During the first pilot group meeting, I’ll share the title and cover samples if they are available from my publisher.
2. WEEKLY ONLINE GROUP
While you’re technically a part of a pilot group, this will be a true online Bible experience for you.
Every THURSDAY beginning APRIL 7 for six weeks, the pilot group will meet online via Zoom from 8:00PM-9:00PM EST. Meeting dates: April 7, April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5 and May 12.
Even if you’re on spring break, you can join the online group gathering as long as you’ve got a stable and strong Internet connection – this is very important!
ONE MISSED WEEK: Pilot group attendance is vital to my
process. I understand that Spring Break vacations happen, so it’s okay to
miss one week out of the six. If there is one week that you won’t be available,
please let me know in advance.
3. STUDY CONTENT
This six-week experience is different than my regular Bible studies. It will read more like a book, so you don’t have questions to answer.
I will send out the content in a Word document the week before the group gathering. You can print out the content OR type your answers into the Word document.
You can complete the weekly content all in one day, on the weekend or one day
at a time – it’s up to you.
What will I need from
you as a pilot group member?
I’ll need your feedback, input and candor. You won’t have to worry about grammar or typos – my editor and publishing company
will take care of that. BUT, you’ll identify stories that resonate with you,
exercises that challenge you or help you past stuck places in your faith.
Here’s a timeline of the homework and online gatherings:
Week 1: Content sent – March 31 / Online gathering – April 7
Week 2: Content sent – April 9 / Online gathering – April 14
Week 3: Content sent – April 16 / Online gathering – April 21
Week 4: Content sent – April 23 / Online Gathering – April 28
Week 5: Content sent – April 30 / Online Gathering – May 5
Week 6: Content sent – May 7 / Online Gathering – May 12
4. CONFIDENTIALITY PROMISE
During the pilot group process, I will ask you several questions to help you provide feedback to me. There will be times when I may ask for you to share your personal observations on a section if I think that it will be helpful for future readers.
Just know that any such request will remain confidential and nothing that you share or write will be printed without your knowledge AND written consent.
I hope that you will join me in praying whether or not God is impressing upon your heart for you to be a part of this pilot group experience.
If you have any questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
